The Event Backdrape system is a budget-friendly backdrop for special occasions such as Weddings and Parties. It is more light-weight than the Performance Backdrape and has shimmering ivory drapes which create a sophisticated and elegant backdrop. It has a telescopic crossbar which means it can be any length you want between 6ft and 10ft. The uprights are 6ft but a 4ft extension pole (included) can be added to extend the height of the backdrop to 10ft.
The Performance Backdrop system is designed with schools and theatres in mind. It has a heavy duty baseplate and telescopic uprights in order to safely support the black wool serge drapes. The Performance Backdrape has the same telescopic crossbar as the Event Backdrape which means it can also fix at any length between 6ft and 10ft. The Performance Backdrape can also be fixed at any height between 7ft and 12ft using the telescopic uprights.

Although wooden stage blocks are a rarity in today's performing arts environment we are happy to manufacture these for you to match a stage system you currently have. Alternatively, we can add a wooden fascia to our stage decks to provide an aesthetic wooden stage block

Although Maltbury began as a hire company, we now only sell staging which is professionally designed and manufactured in our warehouse. For hires in Kent, London and the Southern counties please enquire at LEL Hires on 01474 824 267.
We can supply stage drapes, pipe and drape systems, front of stage barriers and trussing. Unfortunately we do not supply lighting, costumes, or any other theatrical equipment. Please see other theatrical supplies for contacts in these areas.
We can also offer an independent theatre consultancy service providing experienced advice on the design and functionality of your performing space and provide detailed CAD drawings. Theatre consultancy has proven extremely effective when adopted from the beginning of a new build theatre space. There is no obligation to purchase our staging if you choose to take this service alone.

Our stage decks are manufactured in house so any overall stage size and shape can be catered for with our bespoke decks. Our standard decks can be 1m x 1m, 1m x 2m, 2m x 0.5m or 1m x 0.5. We also offer stage decks in imperial sizes.
