Last year, Tom Griffiths, pastor at the vibrant City Praise Centre in Gravesend, approached Maltbury Staging to see how the presentation of his weekly worship could be improved.
As in so many venues, there was a need for a stage on Sunday but not necessarily on other days of the week. So the solution had to be something that was easy to set up and dismantle. But the full-on style of the musical presentation meant that whatever went up on Sunday had to behave like a permanent stage.
After some discussion, Tom chose our Metrodeck system, with carpeted tops, a variety of leg lengths and castors for storing it neatly away. With black stage drapes (easily attached with Velcro) the result is not only "firm to use" but also "really appealing and professional", says administrator Sarah Brindley.
Every week, CPC's Sunday Meetings involve about eight musicians with their equipment and some 25 to 30 singers – and they aren’t holding back! It’s a challenge which Metrodeck meets with ease. As Sarah Brindley says "Our team find it easy to assemble, our band love to rock around on it, and then its packed away very well ready for next time!"
