Plymouth Music Zone is a 'state of the art' music education facility in Devonport. Once a derelict social club, the space has been regenerated to provide an outreach programme to enable more children to participate in music-making projects.
Glyn Fuge, Project Administrator, approached Maltbury hoping to improve the presentation in time for an upcoming concert. The result was a package of Metrodeck units with black Vinyl finish, disabled access ramp and audience seating for 100 people. The show was a huge success with children performing in front of family and friends.
"The young people loved it.” said Glyn "The addition of a stage made the hall feel like a real performance area. I think it focused them." Music Programme Manager Karl Meyers agreed that it was an integral part of the final performance: "It looked great! It made a real difference to the on-stage confidence of all the youngsters involved."
