West Kirk Church, of Helensburgh, Scotland, is home to the Helensburgh Oratorio Choir, a well-established and high-quality choral society. In the past, the choir made do with an old system of wooden blocks in the church as their performance area.
New stage for the Riccallish Allsorts

The Riccallish Allsorts, a community theatre group from Riccall, Yorkshire, began planning their 2005 Christmas pantomime early in October. An important feature was to be the new stage, for which a grant had been provided.
Staging the sacred and the secular

St Michael and All Angels church in Chiswick is an active community church, which has a busy programme of performances and concerts. In 2005, the church began looking to make better use of a raised area between the nave and the sanctuary where the performances were at that time taking place. They decided to look into options for a portable stage.
