Environmental Policy
At Maltbury we are committed to minimising the effect of our business on the natural environment wherever possible. Outlined below are some of the activities we undertake towards this aim.
Administration
- We recycle all materials used in the office – paper, glass, plastic, boxes
- We turn lights and equipment off when not in use and/or outside of office hours
- Employees use environmentally friendly forms of transport to commute to work whenever possible
- Product literature and newsletters are now printed on 100% recycled paper.
Manufacture
- Our plywood is sourced only from forests approved by the Forestry Stewardship Council
- Waste is minimised in our production processes
- For distribution we use palletised transport wherever possible in place of sending a vehicle of our own.
- The staging products we sell encourage multi-functional usage through their modular design. This minimises the need for a different set of equipment per function, and thus minimises the whole quantity of natural and man-made materials used.
